Rain came down hard Wed in Marin County. Drains are overwhelmed along Hwy 101 and Smith Ranch Rd.

Gusting winds and persistent rain Wed night closed the Antioch Bridge — for the night — and a stretch of Hwy 160 through the delta, shut the southbound lanes of Interstate five near the Yolo-Sacramento county line and flooded lanes of highways and streets throughout the Bay Area.

“We’re stretched pretty thin,” remarked CHP Officer Damian Cistaro in the Bay Area’s traffic management center. “There’s a lot of flooding and potholes all over the Bay Area.”
